I've seen the tutorial about how to make an object glow ith a light of its own (using probelight), but my efforts to reproduce it fail. Is there a shader anywhere that can make something glow whitely? Or easy-to-follow instructions for accomplishing this effect on my own? Thanks in advance, Guy hoyle

How did you used the probelight ? Did you put the saturation color to 0 ?

The simplest method for making something appear to glow is; make the ambient value 1, and adjust the ambient color (to white in your case.)
