I was just thinking, it would be nice if we could select less than three images, and have the remainder not be absent, but filled by random items. Say I wanted to showcase my newest item, plus two random older items. Or my two favorites, and one random anything. Or... just to really mix up this idea... how about selecting my favorite 5 images and having it choose three of them at random... How to do this, in layman's terms? If you have anything selected, it would choose from what you selected randomly (if three or less are selected the same ones thus always show up), and then it would fill in the remaining slots with something random from the rest of your gallery. Thoughts? Goode idea, bad idea? Too hard to actually impliment?

Truth has no value without backing by unfounded belief.

Dear arcady, We appreciate your creative and interesting suggestion. After some consideration, there is concern about the system load this type of requested functionality would have on the servers. We agree it would be great functionality, however we don't wish to implement things that will have a negative impact on site performance. Thank you for sharing your idea. We hope you will continue to let us know of other things that might enhance your enjoyment of this site. Best wishes, LillianH Renderosity Marketing & Promotions

After some consideration, there is concern about the system load this type of requested functionality would have on the servers. Understood, but the way it's set up now, if you don't check any options for your gallery, it picks random images. How is that not a problem, but having one or two static and the rest random isn't? Note that this is not me complaining. I'm genuinely curious. bonni

Hi elizabyte, Sorry, I missed this earlier. The concern I had with the request, was that it would add additional logic to determine if there was one, or more images in place, then would need to determine whether to randomly rotate 1 or 2 images. That's all. Nothing major really. Just a concern. Thanks, Lillian

Ah. Okay. No, that makes sense. I was thinking of the server load in a different way, but, yeah. 'Tis cool. :-) bonni
