Subject: Converting V2 morpsh to V3

I'll assume the answer to this question is no, but hey.. I could be wrong. Is there any easy method for converting a victoria 2 morph to victoria 3? I don't have victoria 3, but I assume she uses a different geometry so simply moving the morph over wouldn't work... Are there any utilities that convert morphs across different figures, or is the only real possible solution to recreate the morph entirely from scratch?

I'm afraid the answer is no, indeed. The V3 mesh is completely different from V2. But if you want to transfer morph SETTINGS, then you could be lucky. I assume you're talking about your Dawn character. If she's made by manipulating the V2 morphs, you will probably already have made a MAT pose file. The morphs for V3 have the same names as the DAZ morphs for V2 (for the most parts) and produce a very similar mesh deformation. You can copy the list of morphs from the DAZ product page to check the names. In addition to the morph settings, your V3 MAT pose will also have to inject the morphs. Download one of the V3 characters from freestuff here and inspect the MAT pose file to see how it's done. You'd still need a beta tester who owns V3 and the morph packs. If you made the morphs using magnets, you'd need V3 and apply the same magnets (probably some tweaking is needed). And if you made the morphs using a modeling tool, you'd have to create the morphs from scratch, using V3 as a base. Hope this helps.

The pen is mightier than the sword. But if you literally want to have some impact, use a typewriter

Yes on the Dawn part, but unfortunately I made her by using magnets and morph putty. She was actually designed on victoria 1 so I didn't have all those nifty full body morphs to work with. The face will be the hardest part to recreate I imagine, but maybe if I'm lucky the magnets that I used to make dawn's clothing fit will help create the same type body on victoria 3. Of course, I have to get victoria 3 first... heh Thanks, svdl
