Subject: P5 CD2 Textures for who?

There are two female fantasy textures, Desdemona_Tixy & Desdemona_Trigo, that came on the second P5 disk, but they don't apply to Judy Nude HiRes, Judy Nude, P4 Nude Woman (Hi), or Victoria. The browser thumbnails indicate they're for a female character, but I'm surprised that it's not for the main characters included in P4, though I haven't gotten around to testing the lower res characters because the textures have separate head and body textures--indicative that they're not for the earlier figures. Does anybody know who these textures are for? There was no readme in the zip and no description on the CD browser.

The readme tells you, but I can't for the life of me recall. I'll have to go and check...

thou and I, my friend, can, in the most flunkey world, make, each of us, one non-flunkey, one hero, if we like: that will be two heroes to begin with. (Carlyle)

They are both from Desdemona, for Mike 1 and Vickie 1, and both are utterly gorgeous ~Sacred

Tixy works for Victoria and Trigo for Michael, though I couldn't get the Tixie eyes to load properly on Victoria. It turns out that the textures are made for Judy and Don because the eyes work correctly on Judy. I got off to a wrong start trying to load the male Trigo texture on female characters. I've attached the Trigo texture on Michael in case somebody wants to dig out their P5 content CD and use it.

I thought it strange those items had no readme files. But then I scanned the CD again, and really didn't find much of interest. I've never installed any of the stuff.

As with everything, it depends on what you want to do with Poser. There's a lot of nice RDNA content provided for free with the purchase of Poser 5, along with props and clothing outfits from many other producers. Entire Poser illustrations can be created with what came with the software. Unfortunately, CL chose box cover images that cannot be made with the content that came with the product. It looks like Michael and Victoria instead of Don and Judy. Hair and clothing are painted. A long twirling ribbon is painted.

And there were many missing or promised items, some of which apparently were never provided.
