Subject: Old purchased plants into Vue 5: how?

Orio ( ) posted Thu, 07 October 2004 at 5:14 AM ยท edited Tue, 11 February 2025 at 7:47 AM

I have copied the files of my old purchased plants, from Vue Pro into the plants directory of Vue 5, but Vue 5 does not "see" them. Any advice?

Check the Vue 5 applications CD. I beleive there is a folder there for the purchased plants; all you really need is the serial numbers for them to register them.

Thanks, I'll try that. But what makes me wonder, is that in the past, when I did that, the plant loader popped up a window where to place the serial numbers. This time, nothing happens. And the "load" and "new colelction" icons don't see them either. And since the new loader can now see subfolders: try to make a new subfolder in there: it won't see it. For some reason, it sees only the subfolders created by the installation.

I had purchased plants for Vue 4 and they refused to work in Vue5. They asked for the serial numbers but it still did not work. I opened 4 and saved the plant as an object and then placed it in the vue5 object folder. Can import as an object now.
