I finally got my vue 5 (yippy), now i want to add my old material and sky libraries. should i just copy and paste them in or would that screw things up?

That should work fine (I just got my copy yesterday too, surprised the hell out of me :) the only thing you have to watch out for is that Vue 5 won't recognize files from Vue 3 or older and will ask you to convert them. All you really have to do is either use the sceneconverter.exe file included on the cd or just open them up in Vue 4 and resave them as Vue 4 files, this will allow Vue 5 to read them again. Might be an oppurtune moment to clean out some files you don't use anymore, I'm pretty much going to back all my old Vue 3 and 4 stuff on cd's and pull over only what I plan on using as the collections are getting out of control.

Great, was thinking about doing a little fall cleaning in the directory while I was doing that also. :)

Check out your My Documents folder. There is a Vue Esprit 5 folder there with all the subfolders. I like that as I dump all my odd collections(3ds, max, poser, bmps/jpegs, etc.) under My Documents folder. That keeps the applications' folders as original from the day I install them. That way there is always one place to clean up.
