Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Dec 22 10:18 pm)
Poser is a tool. Take a look in your tool box, how many types of screwdrvers do you have there. Poser is the same. I use it to build my scene's, then quite often import into Bryce or Shade, depending on the look I want. Then there is the post work after in your favorite paint program. I use PSP and Gimp. As in your tool box, one tool by itself can't do the work as well as all the tools used together. Well, that's how I see it. It's not less using Poser as much as more using other software with Poser.
eh? only sheer incompetance keeps me from constantly posting in the Poser gallery (well, that and the fact that I can instantly apply over a thousand textures in Bryce, but have to wait for someone to make a texture in Poser..;) nah..if you look at the sheer number of postings in Poser, there's no danger of extinction..you always get a surge in a program's use right after they release it..not to worry..
I wish I'd said that.. The Staircase Wit

It's also a sort of tough point for Poser: the new renderer in P5 is something you have to learn all over again, and the older one can't do as much. So folks are tyring new things and different things. Poser's still used - more than any other here -- but a lot of the really "advanced" artists are using differnt programs in their quest for what works best for them.
thou and I, my friend, can, in the most flunkey world, make, each of us, one non-flunkey, one hero, if we like: that will be two heroes to begin with. (Carlyle)

A quick comment: Everyday there are less and less images made with Poser in the galleries. It seems everybody is migrating to other programs. Is everybody tired of Poser or what?
