What version of xsi? I use 4.0, which does not support .obj, but does support many other formats, including .3ds and .lwo. You'll need to check your documentation to determine what formats are supported. In the screenshot, I have simply selected Get>Element>Model, and navigated to the folder where my model is stored. Then, if I so desired, I'd scale the object, rig it, and add it to my db. If any of those steps is beyond your current ability, you'll need to review the extensive documentation that ships with the product. If you purchased the experience video cd collection (which now ship standard with all versions) simply navigate to the tutorials for each step I've described above, and it should get you going. Welcome to softimage... enjoy the ride. =D Cheers, *softriver*

Btw, this thread probably belongs in the softimage forum, rather than the Poser forum... Exporting from Poser's a pretty minor step, compared to importing your model, rigging it, etc. all of which must happen in XSI.

Also note: If you're going to be rigging the figure, anyway, you might want to consider just building it in xsi to start with. I can't think of any reason you'd want to go through all that work, rebuild all of the morphs, etc. to simply do the same things you can already do in Poser. As an added bonus, building the figure from scratch in softimage will allow you to know the mesh, plan your morphs and transformations, and get a deeper understanding of the way a non-linear animator works, without the hassle of having to rework the scales, reconfigure the mesh, etc. that will be involved with a Poser-XSI swap.
