Yes- this was only a quickie experiment- since I rendered it at 1200 x 1600 (about an hour for each one) I think I might just go in with Photoshop and move some of the details around- like on the brick floor- and make it much less noticable that I used the wall texture on the floor! (I like the brick floor- just not the window frame elements) I've also found that the HDR files I've used so far have a definite "sun" lighting angle, and that the scene can be rotated in 90 degree increments to get the best lighting. Hopefully- more realistic model scenes like this will be showing up in the Renderosity marketplace. Few models I have now render REALISTICALLY because of the way they are textured- that's why Steve's model fit the bill! Meantime- I'm eyeing those Marlin Studio realistic building texture sets- a bit expensive- around $155 ($199 list) but they give the fanatical texture artist some great stuff to work with to create realistic building sets...

Totally agree!! I am using PW's Bazaar in this render. Detail is excellent!!Yes, PoserWorld has lot's of great stuff. Due to huge amount of items everyone will find something to his/her liking. The quality from the older stuff is good, most of the new stuff is excellent. Unfortunally I haven't been to thrilled about the releases lately, have no use for ww2 or halloween stuff.
Artwork and 3DToons items, create the perfect place for you toon and other figures!

Due to the childish TOS changes, I'm not allowed to link to my other products outside of Rendo anymore :(
Food for thought.....

for the floor map go to the textures section in pw, there a number of excellent brickwalls and tiles. Or you can swipe the backwall or sidewall map off the NYC apartment set which should do as well, though the backwall has some branches on it near the bottom. the best thing I found for texturing is a digital camera. Seriously .. only a texturist knows the right shots to take lol And you can't make 'real' with just paint, though I can come durned close. I've been building up my collection of building and nature surfaces so Steve and I can work on more combined projects like the bazaar and the graveyard. As for the halloween stuff ... well I'm sorry you can't use too much of the current batch. We've got some more classic horror related stuff coming along .. and then off to another subject next month. Plus our usual assorted random whatevers like the hoverboard :) Lyrra

compiler I finished my part ..steve is fiddling with the joints and such to get them perfect. We should have some of the 103 up this week and in the next couple weeks. You're gonna love some of this stuff .. the Kimono set is particularly lovely on Mayadoll .. but I think the cheerleader set is just as cute :) The trick is balancing the conversion work with making new content. I'm working on converting 84 items from V1 to PT right now, nearly done. Then I'm off to convert clothing for m3 to D3, then V1 to Judy and m1 to Don .... long job but worth it in my opinion. Since we have all this stuff we might as well make it available for more figures :) And in the middle of all this I need to continue the repacking of the older stuff. Lyrra

The great thing is that PoserWorld is a third the cost of the DAZ Platinum Club, has almost as many items in it, and there's nothing else to pay beyond the initial membership price. With the PC, everything is a couple dollars each above and beyond the membership price. There is also more variety at PoserWorld. The site hasn't given up on the earlier Millennium figures and it sounds as if they're going to port clothing over to other Poser figures. The site is well worth the price. My visual indexes of Poser
content are at http://www.sharecg.com/pf/rgagnon
Poserworld has provided some clothing with versions for different characters. That is really great. Now David has some clothes, and so does "heavy Mike." You pay your subscription fee, and you get everything. With the DAZ Platinum Club, you keep paying $7.95 a month, whether or not you buy anything. And you still need to pay $1.99 for each item. And their selection is pretty limited. Many of the items are broken up so you need to buy two or more to get it all.
Poserworld is one of the best deals going. Well worth the money. No one else beats it.

...discovering one of those TONS of scenes that Steve Shanks makes that SUDDENLY fits your needs PERFECTLY!Like this somewhat CREEPY Atlanta Back Alley scene- made back around April, 2003. I just found it and it just SCREAMED for a HDRI rendering of it- (heh!)
