i have this problem. i have photoshop, bryce, and poser. What i want to is take a poser figure and export it to bryce without haveing to do too much post work. also i would like to have the poser figure in 3D so it looks like one solid image.

With post work, do you mean adding textures/transparency maps and such? If not, heres a tutorial for getting Poser characters into Bryce.

The trick is in applying the poser textures correctly once you import into Bryce. Someone can no doubt point you to a good tut here. I have a link to one on my computer at home so if you come up dry I'll get you the link this afternoon.

This is usually so easy. Pose and dress your figure. Export it to Bryce. Find the folder the textures for your figure are in. In bryce select each part of your figure and go to the mat editor. Add the textures from the texture folder in the same way you would a 2d texture for a bryce prim. That's it. You might have to mess around some with things like eye-lashes and the hair, but on the whole I find it pretty easy to do. It all depends on what you want out of your poser figure and how complex that figure is.

Also, there's an app called "Grouper" (I think), which lets you re-group your figure so that all the separate bits which share the same texture map can be grouped together.
That way you only have to add the separate textures once, not several times...
(I THINK it's a freebie, but I'm not sure. Someone here will know..)

Yeah, good point that. Grouper is a freebie and really comes in handy when something breaks down in the export from poser.
