Vue F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Dec 30 8:14 pm)
I have deleted Vue4 off my HD...I refuse to go back to it. IMHO, if I go back I'll never learn the new, I did the same thing when going from Poser 4 to Poser5. I'm having pains with Vue5 myself, however I will wait patiently(LOL, yeah right)till the kinks get worked out. I have only been able to complete 1 scene in V5 so far, I have a 2nd going, but had a crash(thank god I saved). So, I've decided to spend my time learning Shade & preparing for the holidays till this all gets sorted out. My advice, is to save the scene 2x....1 as 1a, the save as 1b, that way if 1b crashes 1a is there in tact to retrieve. Good Luck & sorry I couldn't help :( Have a happy Thanksgiving meantime :)

As if I weren't having enough battles with my VUE 5, now my trusty old 4 has acquired an annoying new little quirk '-)! The deal now is that when I stop a render(set to screen in Final mode) in the middle of it's work, more often than not, I get the old pop-up asking me if I am sure if I want to stop 'cuz I won't be able to restart! First off, if I remember correctly this only used to happen when I was doing a selected area render...and secondly...and much more annoyingly VUE will lock up and not even allow me to answer "yes"! If nothing else, this annoying littel problem has given me great practice in saving...but am I really getting tired of ctrl/alt/del'ing myself out of VUE '-)! Anyone else seen this/or have some possible explanations? ==steve==
