In 336 B.C. a 20-year-old king led his small army from the mountains of Macedonia to the vastness of Asia on an impossible campaign. By the age of 25 he had conquered the known world and shaped the course of history with his sword. Alexander the Great was not only a conquerer but an adventurer, explorer and the greatest founder of cities the world has ever known. The main Macedonian units used by Alexander's army are carefully depicted here in a unique attempt to recreate as faithfully as possible the ancient resources. Based mainly on the famous "Alexander's Sarcophagus" the outfits and colours are reproduced down to their finest detail. Companions, Foot Companions and Phalangites are all here, also included are two possible versions of Alexander's own cuirass. Only the base Hoplite for M3 is required but this set can also be combined with other expansion sets as well.
