Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Dec 22 10:18 pm)
The originals are Apple fonts, Chicago Regular
and Geneva Regular. But those won't be the
fonts actually seen on most computers;
the system will choose a font that matches
"enough" of the given characteristics.
On my PC (definitely without Chicago or Geneva
in its installed font set), Poser uses the
standard System font for the sans-serif, and
what looks like Times Roman for the serif.
If you're seeing really strange stuff, your
system might not have any of the more ordinary
Roman fonts available, so it's picking the only
halfway matching font it can find.
Be sure you have System and one of the
usual Roman fonts like Times Roman. Edit: Also be sure you have Helvetica or some font described as "Swiss".

I've been working on rebuilding my stock of free fonts. I lost them all in the wipe. But after transferring some to my fonts folder, I've found that Poser now has a VERY odd font. I have no idea what the name of it is, and I can't do a screen capture to save my life. Does anyone know what the normal default font used in Poser 5 is? I'm hoping I can replace it. This is annoying me intensely. RC
