I've been having a lot of fun playing with the free base Aiko 3 figure. I bought the original Aiko, but never got much use out of her. Now I'm considering buying one of the upgrade packages for Aiko 3, either the Starter or the Pro. Folks who have bought the upgrades, did you feel it was worth it? Is the Pro package worth the extra money?

Well, depends on how useful you find the extras provided in each bundle. Since many of the add-ons were included in the Pro bundle, I opted for it since the bundle cost is lower than the accumulated add-ons included. Plus, if you are a PC member, you will save another 30%!

I won't be buying anything for Aiko 3. Nothing against the figure, I'm just not really into cartoon stuff. I downloaded the LE version because it was free and I might either change my mind later or find a way to use her that doesn't make her look like a cartoon.

Each to thier own, I guess. I bought the Pro. With the PC savings, it was worth it, better deal if you ask me. Now if they just hurry up and get Yamato's stuff out soon. That's the real reason I bothered with Aiko.

yes.. yamato was the reason i everlet myself spend moe buck into daz... oki the base is free but base is very limited in use. Anway with some free SP3 MT, some free v3 textures and clothes, you can get started if you only would buy ONE package for her, take the "starter" (it include the "complete pack.. bought it by mistake with thestarter and i paid for twice the same content) but in fact, the complete pack is waaay enough, if you ask me anyway i plan to make DOAnimEyes for aiko3, but i wont make as big and complete mackage as mayadoll :) MD is my priority

I haven't bought anything for Aiko 3 yet, Daz always seems to release stuff and have sales right when I'm unable to buy anything, but when I can I intend to buy the starter pack. Judging from the contents listed, plus whatever else I decide I need for Aiko between now and then, that ought to be enough to do what I want to do. So far though I like the Aiko LE version, and I've played with her enough that I have my husband almost wishing he could play with her too instead of playing his games.

Well, if Riddokun is on-board, then I am too. I'd get the lower package, myself. Much cheaper unless you want all that extra stuff that comes with the Pro version. Of course, that's only if I don't find a way to transfer some morphs from certain figures to her. ;)

well ygg there are 3 packages aside from the LE free base complete (somethin around 20 bucks) starter (somethin around 40) pro (somethin around 90 ouch :) beware (because i did the mistake myself and lost bucks :) starter INCLUDE complete base + complete is far enough and cheaper than most unimesh products, i mean what you need to spend in an unimesh product to get it decent (base + usual morph/vital package, 30 buck or more) though the starter kit includes some interesting third party bundles such as snow sultan's eyes (but, well.. guess waht ? i looked at UV mapping of aiko 3 eye materials and i think my latest works on 3rd generation of Mayadoll eyes will be useful to me, cause i intend to make some for her too.. not that i dont like snowsultan's work, indeed they are great. But well, when i find a figure with lametexturer friendly eye mapping, it is compuslive, i jump on it :) but i'll use the same textures as for mayadoll, i just hope snowsultan and DAZ wont sue me for making free DOAnimEyes version for aiko3 based on my august 2004 release :) btw i am a bit noob, what kind of clothes can she wear, and can you indicate any FREE conforming clothes (maybe from other unimesh products, i heard aiko 3 coudl wear tephanie petite's things) that would work correclty on her without conversion anyway i dont want either Aiko 3 to kill my two favorite dolls :) guess i have to set up the resistance force now ! :)
