Ok, starting to drop more lighting into the scene. Enlarged the Demon critter a bit more. Moved the Chalice towards the wall. See what you think. Thanks for all the feedback thus far.

Angle the flames more vertically in the torches. Lotta promise here, keep at it!

Pass no temptation lightly by, for one never knows when it may pass again!

The two bright spots, statue and throne, still pull my eye away from the emerging demon. It took four viewings before I even saw the wings...of course that could be my laptop. Check out the link. ICM posted this most recently. It is really about landscapes but look at what the guy says about colors and how to focus attention. It has really helped my thinking on how I set up a scene.

I think its horns are too ambient and the texture should match that of the metallic emerging being. Otherwise, this is gonna be spooky.

Just had a really off-the-wall idea. Try texturing the body of the demon with the flames you've used on the floor.....ie: Replace the silver body with one made of flames....?

i don't like it..i just don't. maybe it's just not the sort of image I like. nightmarish. technically...too red, the horns to not metallic, the mean chaps too not real. white light on the demon in the fire? nothing here gives white light..all yellow, red. Didn't see the wings..but I use a laptop. ignore me..feeling pretty squeamish here... wish i hadn't dropped into this room and seen these two demons...
