I'd start with a prop of some sort to simulate the light beams. It could be just a series of morphed planes - see the [link] for my morphing planes prop. Then lots of experimentation with transmaps and material settings to get the dusty glow. You may need to composite more than one render to get the effect you want. If your three most recent posts are connected, I'm looking forward to seeing the finished picture. :)Nerd3D has a fog prop in the MP and a tutorial on his site on how to use it to make volumetric light beams in Poser 4. RDNA has a new FX prop in their store, that lets you do shafts of sunlight and other effects. It's a $2.50 "real deal." But the easiest might be to do it in post work. There used to be a good tutorial on an archtecture site somewhere, but I can't find it. It was pretty straightforward. You just use Photoshop tools to subtly smudge and brighten the area where you want the shaft of light to be.

Well, I went the photoshop route and got pretty much what I was after. Still, after the holidays I might see what I can do with it actually in poser. Many thanks for your helpful suggestions. Can anyone tell me how, either in Poser4 or Photoshop7, to creat the effect of sunlight coming through a window into a musty, dusty room? Jack
