Or rather, Take 10. And yeah, I plop-rendered and spray rendered this one together as a preview... This is a scene I was working on in a previous life... The previous WIP forum thread is linked for anyone to refer to. After staying up for ten hours trying to make WATER in my last WIP scene (desolation) and finally tossing it aside, I had some fresh inspiration for this scene after a month-long lull. I've removed the volumetrics altogether, just because something looks cool doesn't mean it really fits the scene. I decided to relight the entire scene from the dragon's eggs, instead...! This was originally the focal point, and I wanted them to remain the center of light and attention. Some texture tweaks, changed the rubble to a pile of gold (hopefully), lighting tweaks, and a great big change in the dragon... What does anyone think? Any better? Worse?

Fantastic!! It hasn't made the final pass yet, has it? Love the proximity of all the the subject matter & the effects are perfect.

Looking really good, only trouble is now there is no obvious reason for the eggs to glow.

I like it!! I think the scaling is coming together perfectly and the eggs look great!! Come on cho!! Everyone knows dragon eggs glow from time to time...sheesh. :) I wonder if you want something very subtle in the bottom left hand corner, almost an afterthought..maybe, maybe not...there is a piece there now that looks angled towards the eggs and draws the eye back to complete the circuit..I just wonder what I nice little ahHa! would do down there...would have to be very very subtle though.

I don't like the people there, just the scene with the Dragon and its eggs would be perfect, IMO.

Aye, but the people are the point of it all! Discovery... And also, they are the objects that set the scale. Without them, DVD, there would be no composition, it would merely be a portrait. And god knows there are enough Millenium Dragon portraits out there already!

i like the people there it shows how big the dragon is the glow on the eggsis a bit too much just let it shimmer the goldcan be more bright thoug and more haphazard like it accumilated over time by the remains of previous adventurers killed by the dragon . just my 2cents i think this picture inproved alot since the last time i saw it, well done.

for some free stuff i made
and for almost daily fotos
