. . . Scrooge was better than his word. He did it all, and infinitely more; and to Tiny Tim, who did NOT die, he was a second father. . . . and it was said of him, that he knew how to keep Christmas well, if any man alive possessed that knowledge. May that be truly said of us, and all of us! And so, as Tiny Tim observed, God Bless Us, Everyone! Charles Dickens, A Christmas Carol. Hi Folks! In Part #5, Ebenezer Scrooges transformation touches all who once knew him. He has learned in time that true happiness comes not from all that is gained but from all that is shared. This is the most simple image in the series. All of the characters and clothes are Poser defaults, with post-rendering work done in Photoshop. Perhaps next year if I run it again I will deck my characters in fashions and scenes that were more appropriate to the times in which Dickens lived. On the other hand, perhaps the contemporary look will remind us that the lessons in this this Dickens classic are timeless. While the thematic backdrop may be Christmas, the real story is about the desperate search for dignity by the people who were the casualties left in the wake of the Industrial Revolution. A strikingly similar story, with no less profound an impact, is being written in our current Information Age. I hope yall enjoyed this series as much as I have enjoyed preparing and posting it. Happy Holidays. Peter (Dr Zik)
