Subject: How do I apply Just a Tint Material file

Georgous ( ) posted Mon, 03 January 2005 at 11:35 AM ยท edited Tue, 03 September 2024 at 2:55 AM

Ive created a white texture.I want to color it without having to go in and reset the tint for each part of the texture.I would like to use that same tint on other figures. Is there any way i can make a tint file that will not affect the texture,But will color it?

You could make a small jpg the colour you want and apply to all in poser 5 or apply changes to all if it is poser 4 you have. ockham made a python script for pro pack and poser 5 that makes the whole figures` colours white.

PoseTools.

Hello, you could use my PoseTools. One of the things it can do, is to save any Mat File- true P5 mats as well as P4-, and apply it back, tint-only or complete.

If you're interested, go to
http://www.pcbos.nl/3D.htm

There is a full manual available on the POSETool's pages.

Cheers,

Sure. MAT files don't have to contain the complete Material entry for anything, only what parts you want to change. material materialname { KdColor 1 1 1 1 } for example, would set the material's Base color to white, without changing the texture, reflection, highlight, etc..
