(this will be posted in the Terragen/Vistapro/Bryce forums since I have all 3. this is not meant as spamming crossposting but to try and find the information I need) I'm looking for a DEM file for Loch Ness, it's Lat 57.12:57N Lon -4:37:02W (been trying the NASA FTP Archives but I can't workout the bloody naming structure). can anyone help me here? all I want is the Loch. a nice simple request...

Are you saying you want the DEM for the lake bed???

Khai ( ) posted Tue, 04 January 2005 at 11:47 AM

the shoreline mainly, but the lakebed would be nice... (the co-ords are from the Scottish Tourist Board, so I'm not sure just how accurrate they are..)

This one? http://www.landmap.ac.uk/download/user_cood_selector.htm There are others, too. Not really good: http://www.mluri.sari.ac.uk/ccw/task-four/geoganal/geoganal.html This also might be what you need, but it's 8.4 MB. Too much for an uncertain thing, no? http://www.webgis.com/GTOPO30/w020n90.zip

Small world. We're going to Lock Ness this summer for our holiday! We're hiring 2 cruisers and taking 15 family members. In short, we're invading the Caledonian Canal!
