Subject: Question from newbie

Although I've been using progs like PS for yonks, I'm really new to 3d apps and I was wondering if there's a way of combining my Poser figures with my Bryce environments. If I am able to bring my Poser figures into Bryce, will they retain there materials, maps etc? Can I bring Bryce objects into Poser so that I can then apppy a skeleton? Also I looking to purchase a more all-round prog eg Maya, D, Lightwave, Money is not really a problem but I don't want to have to buy/learn another prog in a years time. I'm using OSX on a G5 What would you recomend? Thanks in advance :o)

flowzone you can import poser figures into bryce. You first need the turbo importer plugin which is sold at DAZ(use link i posed) you'll need to sign up on there. you will need to export the poser file from poser to an .obj file format so you can import it into bryce after that. All the textures/maps should be imported as well. I would recommend if you go buying another program buy one that you can export files in .obj format if you are looking at using the models in bryce at all. But to be honest buy one you will find a good use for, i am not sure but i don't think you can import maya files into bryce. Someone may correct me on that. Finally welcome to the bryce forum and world of brycing :)

I have opinions of my own -- strong opinions -- but I don't always agree with them.

You don't need Turbo! Checkout your export options in Poser. All you need to do then is make sure you know where all your texture files are....and apply them in Bryce.
