I am thinking about taking two of the courses at the upcoming Nikon School coming to Philadelphia. I was wondering if anyone has taken any of these classes and/or if you think they are worth attending. Perhaps a local community collage course may be better? That is if I can find a local one!

The courses I was thinking of taking are "Shooting Digital" and "Digital 201 - Workflow Techniques".

Any input would be helpful. Thanks!

Hmmmm.... I'm always getting something from them about these classes. I've not taken one, but would be curious to know what your experience is should you definitely decide to do it. As far as CC courses it might be nice for you to take one or two. All curriculums are different and some schools are now focusing more on the digital aspects of photography more than on the traditional darkroom stuff. At my state university my dear professor is gearing up to add digital into the curriculum, but there are no courses offered specifically to Photoshop.... and the one course that is labeled as Digital Graphics from what I hear is geared more towards animation..... phooey. Let us know what you decide!

I am, therefore I create.......

Well I have a Canon, but a friend has a D70, and attended one of the classes. He said the class was ok, and he picked up a few tips. The best part was viewing all the wonder large prints (a lot made with the D70) and trying out some Nikor lenses (he brought his camera). I am having lunch with him tomorrow, if my old forgetful brain can remember, I will get more opinions from him.

Oh, you MUST let us know which classes you decided on, and what you thought of them. Dee-Marie
