Subject: Question on licence

I'm sure that someone can help me with that before I make a mistake: I'm working for a gallerie from time to time if there is a request for an image that is not in the store (for instance: a woman in stockings and high heels, a dancer in pink, whatever...). If I own the needed geometries, textures and so on, I render and paint the image. Otherwise the gallerist buys it and I make some samples until the customer is satisfied with the result. My question: Am I allowed to use the dropped images for my own needs (portfolio, Renderosity galleries)? My principal says it's okay with him because he doesn't use the files for himself (he is a printer, not an artist). On the other hand he wants to buy the files on the name of his gallery for further tax refund. I hope I could express myself clearly, my english isn't that good ;o)

I'm not always right, but my mistakes are more interesting!

And I am not strange, I am Limited Edition!

You are allowed to use products from the MarketPlace in your own commercial work as long as you cannot extract the original product from your resold work. I hope that makes sense, but if not let me know and I'll try to further explain. Deb

That's okay with me, thanks for your quick answer. As I'm only interested to present my artwork here for discussional purpose and on my personal site as a reference there is no possibility to exract items or textures from the pictures. Greetings from Meike
