Hello Arie,
All the styles I have that were made in 7.0 continue to work in all Photoshop CS series so I'm pretty sure the reverse is true because nothing has been changed in the upgrades since 7.0. I have never had one to break on me and I have been doing this for 10 years. Styles are universal from 7.0 onward.
It's the actions one has to really worry about.
Hope this helps,

Hi There, My question is about the compatibility of Photoshop's styles. I know that Photoshop 6.0 can not read a Photoshop 7.0 style file. However, my question is this: Can Photoshop 7.0 read a Photoshop CS style file? I'm trying to update my Waterdroplet Kit in the marketplace, but I realized that I had to uninstall Photoshop 7.0 and don't know if I can ensure the new styles will be good for Photoshop CS and Photoshop 7.0. Thanks for all your kind help! Have a great day :) Arie
