EXPOS3 - Call For Entries - Closing 28 February 2005 Ballistic Publishing and CGNetworks are proud to announce EXPOS3, the third in its series of critically acclaimed EXPOSdigital art books celebrating the creative talents of digital artists worldwide. Following its legacy, EXPOS3 will be the unprecedented premium publication featuring the finest digital artwork the world has ever seen. The EXPOS3 Awards will celebrate the highest artistic achievement in a diverse range of categories and styles.

We are now calling on artists to submit digital images for consideration in EXPOS3. Images can be created in any 3D or digital illustration application. Photoshop and digitally manipulated photography is also welcome. We are interested in digitally-created fine art, whether it be 2D or 3D, for commercial use, or personal satisfaction.

The editors and distinguished Advisory Board members will select images for inclusion in EXPOS3 along with images worthy of receiving special recognition in a range of categories.

The EXPOS3 Advisory Board/Jury is:

Dan Curry, VFX Producer/Supervisor, Star Trek: Enterprise
Eric Hanson, Senior Producer, The Gnomon Workshop
Jeff Mottle, President, CGarchitect.com
Kim Larsen, PLACEBO Effects
Lorne Lanning, President/Creative Director, Oddworld Inhabitants
Scott Robertson, Design Studio Press
Stephan Martiniere Concept/Production Artist
Syd Mead, Visual Futurist
Tim McGovern, VFX Producer/Supervisor.

The deadline for entries to be considered for EXPOS3 is 28th February 2005. Due to the rush at the last minute, we ask that artists with existing works submit their entries as quickly as possible to avoid any technical difficulties or mail system failures.

The publication of EXPOS3 is scheduled for release in August 2005. There is no cost (or limit) to enter and the artists who have work selected for inclusion in the book will enjoy worldwide exposure in the worlds premium collection of digital artwork. We look forward to seeing your work featured in EXPOS3!

I'll be entering, though i have no confidence I'll get in. Though my new Fairy series is, i think, pretty darn good.

I might take a still render of an animation I did and submit it for this. I haven't done still imagery in ages though. Will probably have a lot of tweaking to do.
