Yes you guessed it i have a naked V3 in this one :p

Well other than the ground cover/plants is there anything else i could do to make this image good/great/ecellent..not wanting much :)

I don't want to put to much in it because i believe they may take the focus off the Mossie and Poser model....they are friends ;)

Might add a couple of spaceships, not sure yet..any ideas. Added text: Don't say it needs a good render...

I have opinions of my own -- strong opinions -- but I don't always agree with them.

So far so good! Your fore/mid/backround works well composition wise.

Vicky seems to be floating above the ground a bit (no noticable shadow). Your subject matter is close to the viewer and even if her hands were out of site that would work too (and it would bring the viewer in closer). You could also try a pose similar to the one that Steven Stahlberg used.(check out his gallery)
http://optidigit.com/index.html

The plants: cattails are usually water plants, plus their very expensive in rendertime. The bladed plants: you could use less or larger material on them. It's a bit busy and draws the attention.
Thin them out a little so they're moreso a suggestion in the scene or not so overpowering. Check the image posted, although I did it in post.

OK I'll stop with the long winded Tut.
For a beginner you've definately got some advanced technique going there, keep it up & keep us updated.

i would definately do something more with her facial-features.... raise a brow or a slight squint or tilt her head... mmm basically, from the neck up actually, it seems too stale.

like ICM has. notice her nead is tilted back but her eyes are focused downward slightly - this (to me) shows some emotion. a tilt would add confusion, her currrent state exudes (to me) a little caution. but notice that the head and eyes arent centered on the characters focus - this adds life - where the body-parts/features 'can' work independent of eachother for a wide range of feelings.

consider going back to poser... setting ik for hands and feet and lock the eyes on target then play a bit with the neck/head/torso and see what you get. EDIT*** btw the leaves have grass texture on em. might wana change that so it doesnt look like someone 'pressed grass into a leaf shape' ;P

Aww, she has a pet. She should be careful, mossies are not to be trusted. Especially this one. I'm thinking of doing a new version in Wings and make it (gulp) poseable.

ICM, i had noticed she was above the ground before you posted your reply, couldn't be bothered doing another edit on the message to inform people of that LOL. I have tried to get a pose like the one in the image but where she is looking down at the mossie with a sturn look but also showing some caring as well. The kind of look you give a child or puppy when they have done something wrong but at the same time you show some caring because they don't quite understand you. When i placed the cattails and the grass in the image i wasn't sure if i would use them because i'm trying to get away from the "Earthly" feel to it so i might dig around for something that would give it more of an Alien planet look. Twisted_Symmetry, I'm not using Poser at the moment i'm stuck with only being able to use DAZ Studio. I'm not quite up to scratch on using that either so what you see in the image is almost all i can do with a poser figure in DAZ Studio...not bad for my first one :) I'll try to angle her head downwards a little more but i wanted to give the look that she was looking at the mossie but not at its eyes/head. drawbridge that is the total idea behind this image mate. The mossie is her pet :p

I have opinions of my own -- strong opinions -- but I don't always agree with them.

maybe you can pose her scratching its chin? or pushing a bowl of ichor to its sucker'ee-thingy? to get the idea across that the mossie is her pet.

I think there are some similar poses in a set called Gor poses, that was in freestuff..also, do a search (in the top15 area) for Schlabber's, he's got literally hundreds of figurative poses for free..
