Rough with the Smooth. I am beginning to feel starrily challenged .

And every one said, 'If we only live,
We too will go to sea in a Sieve,---
To the hills of the Chankly Bore!'
Far and few, far and few, Are the lands where the Jumblies live;
Their heads are green, and their hands are blue, And they went to sea in a Sieve.

it's beautiful!!! it's a fantastic entry for opposites...hadn't thought of that smooth/rough concept. what i really like about this one (besides that the images if of trees--one my my fav. subjects), are the "V" shapes in the image which lead me back to some dark, recessed place (perhaps a cave?) It gives a feeling of intrigue and mystery!!! I'm ready to go exploring now! :)

Thx for all your comments - I think the trees are Ash and Elm seen walking through the woods wondering what I could shoot for opposites. There beside me was the answer. I took it few days ago, but thought it wasn't going to be any good because I did not like it in colour, yesterday I tried it in b/w and found it much more appealing, it retains and emphasises the textures which was the point of the shot. Here is small colour version since I have mentioned it- no editing other than size the barks are very grey in real life but here they seem to be blue/silver.
