Think you could make me this girl? I'll accept her in any form: cr2, pz3, or just a morph target for her face. Whoever makes the best figure will get a little prize from me. They will get my Maple Lee Fay character (see the gallery and search for the picture by me called Dedication). If you don't do faces, here's a challenge for you: Make her throne. If you're interested in that, I will send you all the images of it from different angles that I have. Just be sure to provide me with your email address.

PS> If you need more or better images of her face, let me know and I will put them in a zip file

I wouldn't mind taking a whack at the throne. I haven't even attempted a organic model yet. shivers at the thought.

Looking at your site I see you mostly work in poser. So, I did a little playing around with an object I created in TS transporting it over to Bryce (as closer to poser as I own). I discovered that TS handles .. smoothing?.. better then bryce. So I am not sure how much help my creating the throne would be for you, since I would have to put a HUGE number of verticies into the image to make it smooth in Bryce/Poser.. here are some expamples of what I'm talking about. First is in truespace, next bryce. Same object.

Now the bryce version. If you notice, you can see the verticies.

I see what you mean and unfortunately I think you're right. Sigh

RimRunner ( ) posted Wed, 10 January 2001 at 1:09 PM

I can get rid of this effect, but I have to crank the count WAY high to get the model 'smooth' enough for bryce. It might be possible to build it between the two. Since it's based on a sea shell type design, I'll see if I have time to play around with a nice shell this weekend. If I can get that over into bryce without it getting those edges, then we still might be in business. :)

OK. I still need to zip up those pictures for you. I woulda done it before, but I got food poisoning.

DOH! That bites. I did some browsing on the next for images.. found a lot, but they were all around 150x120. Small little suckers. :/

um..go to MY neverending story webpage. Gimmie a minute to remember where the heck it is...(tell ya how long it's been since I updated it? lol)... http://members.nbci.com/Uthena/index.htm I need to go update it sometime soon. If you don't see any useful images on there, I'll make an attempt to get them to you.

BTW, Here's a good image of the back of it. I've realized some of the pictures on my site don't work. I'll have to get everything in order again. Til then, hopefully these will work somewhat.

Hello Rimrunner, Sorry if this is a un-needed reply. Did you try the smoothing function in Bryce? It's in the Object menu: Edit object. Or, with the imported object selected. Hit the "E" button to the right of the object. I use this often for getting rid of the "faceted look". That way, you don't have to crank the poly count in TS. Hope this helps. TRLee

TRLee ( ) posted Thu, 18 January 2001 at 8:20 PM

Uthena, I'll give the face a try, and perhaps the body. As I am no good at clothes or hair, I won't attempt those. Maybe I can dig some clothes up at Poser World. Good enough? And when do you need it?

RimRunner ( ) posted Thu, 18 January 2001 at 11:37 PM

TRLee, yeah, found that a few days ago. It really did improve things!! I'm working on something similar before taking on the throne. Want to be able to get that look.
