THE PLACE FOR ALL THINGS BRYCE - GOT A PROBLEM? YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE

Subject: Bryce Chat Times.

I noticed that there are no people Chatting on Bryce Chat whenever I logon, do people here chat on Bryce? It would be nice to chat the people who post here, if there isnt a schedule already set maybe we can set one up, like Every Sundays at 8 or 9:00pm (EST)

drawbridgep ( ) posted Sun, 13 February 2005 at 10:45 AM

Ang25 is normally bouncing around an empty room most evenings. Last weekend on Saturday there was a lot of activity for maybe 5 or 6 hours with probably 20 people coming and going. Just a matter of timing. I would join on Sunday night, but Desparate Houswives and then Boston Legal is on TV. ;-)

Analog I think you're seeing the room, but unless your name is listed under 'No Whisper', you're not in there either. Yup, I think I broke it, darn it!

I'm in the Bryce Chat room linked from the Bryce forums not the main one at the top.

drawbridgep ( ) posted Sun, 13 February 2005 at 11:06 AM

Yeah, we only use the Bryce one. I've tried the main one and that's not working either. SO I've posted a message in the community forum asking if something is wrong with it.

I think the chat needs a "SYS 64738" to cold start it.

Geez Zhann, I thought for sure I'd come in here and see that you'd fixed it. ;) And I didn't stop with the bryce chat, I knocked out all of the chats at Rendo. :-D Sorry

drawbridgep ( ) posted Sun, 13 February 2005 at 6:54 PM

Yeah, I thought Zhann was just here to say it'll be working within 30 minutes. This just shows that you can't really miss something until you don't have it anymore.

Well, believe me I'd like to be able to get it working, I like fixing things but this is a little beyond me, for some reason they don't let me fool with the site coding,....go figure =)

If only renderosity could run an IRC server. It'd end all this java-chat wonkyness... (Besides there's a few free IRC clients that are pretty good, not to mention that they kick the java-thingy's butt when it comes to features.) Ahh well... I suppose we could arbitrarily pick an existing IRC server and then open up a #bryce channel. Of course scheduling things would still be tricky. Anyone up for it?

There is a Bryce chat room at Delphi forums already. I'm not sure how often it's used though.

FranOnTheEdge ( ) posted Tue, 15 February 2005 at 10:45 AM

Ah, but I do that too, it all depends on how you define an "evening", like for me here in the UK it's different from most of the other people in the forums whom I'm assuming are somewhere in the US - with a few exceptions, naturally. Only... I do often stay up pretty late, a) being a late night person anyway, and b) only having an evening job on the occassional evening. Fran
