Subject: How to make rope in Bryce

Hi I'm racking my brain trying to figure out how to make a posable rope in bryce, is it possible? I am actually trying to make a whip, but I'm stuck on the rope, part lol Thanks

Do a search in the freestuff for 'smartpipe'. Download it, pose it, and texture it. Edit - Seems that the download link isn't working, another method is to use metaballs.

A very rough and quick example, 10 metaballs. Method: Create a sphere. Using keyframing, use the sphere to make a path. Delete the sphere. Create a meatball, and link it to the path. Multireplicate. Increment the distance along the path. Voila!!

I might turn the metaball method into a tutorial, if I get some time. It will work a lot better with more metaballs, too :)
