Hey frogdot... check this out. Is this something like what you did for your image "La Grande Vista"? Make a landscape with the cacti and such. Place a mirrored sphere at ground level. Set the sky to nightime and stars. Place the camera straight above the sphere and looking down on the sphere with a tight FOV. Add in the moon later (which I didn't do here). -Jeff

This is one example of why I love Bryce. You can make more-or-less realistic scenes and have reflective elements in it and place the "camera" anywhere you want and it won't show up in the reflections. Can't do that in the real world. Of course this effect applies just as well to other 3D rendering programs but Bryce is the one I use. - Jeff

That's about like mine. I squashed the sphere down a bit and put a starmap I made on a cloud plane, instead of bryce stars. Turned the sunlight off and use one radials and a spot with "no falloff". The radial is below the 2d moon and casts the shadows. Thanks for the interest
