Yes i know i stated i wouldn't post anything on here again or post any images. Well after reading what drac and said in a thread it made me do some thinking(i can do that ya know), well here i am back out from the shadows and using bryce again.. Take a look at what my artwork could be from now on :) PS: i'm not to ashamed to advertise :p

I have opinions of my own -- strong opinions -- but I don't always agree with them.

drac, how do i blur everything but the sphere. I tried using the DOV setting but until i can fully understand the use of that i don't think i'll be able to do any good with it.

just set it after you have that sphere selected. and then click the blur to selection button or whatever it's called. drac

only two i can see are Blurred Transmission or Blurred Reflections. Doing a render now with Blurred Transmissions picked. let you know how it goes when it is finished.

you need to have premium render settings on. and i'm talking about depth of field :)

CrazyDawg ( ) posted Sun, 27 February 2005 at 10:01 AM

drac i used DOF in that image. i ment that i had used the DOF not DOV(duh, where did i get that) i had the sphere picked and then did the render. As you can see it didn't blur everything else but the sphere. Do i need to set the lens radius and/or Focal Legnth settings on anthing ? Might be an idea if i just messed around with it for a while :)

i just tried it myself with a scene, i never really bothered because my usual DOF technique is in postwork. but your updated version is just as cool. bryce's DOF causes static on the image :/ drac (excellent work, leave it as it is, and fill up your gallery with more works before i go medieval on your butt :P)

The only time I saw any noise (I assume that is what you were referring to as static) was when I had used too low a AA setting in premium.

Pass no temptation lightly by, for one never knows when it may pass again!

Change the lense size in the lower left hand side tat will make it so more will be blurred. Generally the AA settings have to be st above 16 or you get a noisy picture. You can also do that in photoshop using a render as object mask.
