Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Feb 18 7:53 am)
You'll need to assign part of the blanket to the choreographed group. Try it this way:-
Hope that helps.
Just a slight addition...
After you have got the cloth draped to your satisfaction on the figure, you can move to the frame you like best (for the draping) and save JUST the blanket as a .obj file (export it without anything checked, except possibly the grouping stuff, for textures).
Then you can start a new scene, import the cloth and it should be already set up to do the pull-aside, without having to wait for the draping stuff first...
The reason I suggest this is 'cos I know from experience that things in the cloth-room almost never happen the way you want 1st time round, so this saves having to wait for the draping to be done each time you want to make a minor alteration to the animation.
Also, it allows you to set up different parameters for the draping and the animation, if necessary...
Cheers,
Diolma
Edited to add: It also allows you to close and restart Poser between the draping part and the animation bit, thus freeing up memroy (which Poser is very bad at doing on its own account), which helps speed things up a bit..

Hi, I've been using Poser5 for a year and I just started using the cloth room again. My set up is a poser model acting as a marble statue draped with a blanket. I want to animate the blanket being pulled off the statue but it won't work. I can clothify and drape the blanket using the cloth room's dynamics but how do I animate the second part of the animation when the blanket is pulled off to the side? Thanks in advance to anyone who helps with the workflow of this animation. Cheers
