Hello , I was wondering if any one can point me in the direction of a poseable 3d astronaut suit? Free is good and paying is just fine too : )) Thank you

Chris, That's not a bad-looking suit. And it is for exploration, not warfare. :) Lyne's Mars Suit also looks good (and suitable for a low-pressure environment). Since so little of the underlying figure shows, it does seem odd to build these as conforming figures than just separate models. Carolly

Carroly, that suit was made by JeffH (admin here at Rosity) back in 2000 ... so its not on todays technical standarts ;) I agree with you why they are made as conformong figures ... they should be made as stand alone figures ... less geometry to handle :) Greets Chris

So that's why your beard looks like it'd just had 50,000 volts? ;^)

Hey, its amazing how few civilian style space suits there are. Most are "incomplete". This looks good to me... http://market.renderosity.com/softgood.ez?ViewSoftgood=32083&Form.sess_id=32554515&Form.sess_key=1111109028

If I may do a bit of advertising - The pack is mine but the suit isn't. I highly recommend it however. Thanks for looking.

hauksdottir ( ) posted Wed, 30 March 2005 at 2:21 AM

You are answering an inquiry... it's ok. Nice life-support or whatever dials and the helmet looks functional for a wide range of peripheral vision. We still need a full set of suits for the family and their animal companions. Carolly

AntoniaTiger ( ) posted Wed, 30 March 2005 at 3:09 AM

Those modelling space suits should remember that poke-through is far less desirable than for lingerie.

hauksdottir ( ) posted Wed, 30 March 2005 at 4:32 AM

LOL! If it can't withstand a brass brassiere, it'll never protect against micro-meteorites?

dante ( ) posted Wed, 30 March 2005 at 12:17 PM

yeah, thats what I mean...we have several helmets and back packs around, even some good freebees, but the suits man...those are rarities and usually a tad simplistic, like bad movie props...

dante ( ) posted Wed, 30 March 2005 at 12:18 PM

BTW...that suit looks cool...Where did you get it?

gtrias ( ) posted Wed, 30 March 2005 at 1:14 PM

The suit is the SciFi suit from LynnJonathan available here at Renderosity. Another really good spacesuit is the one included with the RLD7 expansion pack by SanctumArt. That one is available from DAZ. I'm not crazy about the helmet that comes with it. Please check the last promo image or my gallery with my Pavonis Space Backpack and the RLD7 suit. I think that combo works kinda well. There is a powered armor suit by Xurge available on RuntimeDNA that looks nice. Sixus has a free spacesuit for his H.I.M figure that looks pretty awesome but may be a tad Flash Gordon-esque. I'd like to see if it fits Mike when I get some time.

dante ( ) posted Wed, 30 March 2005 at 6:01 PM

I have used the combination of the RLD7 suit by Sanctum along with his Solo top hardshell. It looks cool. Ill check Sixussuit...and Lynns. Thanks a lot gtrias

AntoniaTiger ( ) posted Thu, 31 March 2005 at 1:16 PM

The RLD7 suit -- is that the one with the Hazmat label on the package? Out of my budget, I'm afraid, but it looks good.

dante ( ) posted Fri, 01 April 2005 at 9:24 PM

Yeah Antonia, I bought it during the Scifi sale at Daz. Sanctums stuff is cool but a little stiff for my budget too. Im drooling over his xenotypes...but alas Ill have to wait for a Daz sales or something.
