Subject: Help: Problem converting Rsr-files to Png-files with P3DO

Smaker1 ( ) posted Thu, 17 March 2005 at 4:40 AM · edited Mon, 09 December 2024 at 5:13 AM

Hello, I am converting my Rsr-files(Poser 4) to Png-files (Poser 5/6) with P3DO. The conversion works well in P3DO but: In Poser 5: no thumbnails. In Photoshop: I only see the Alpha map In P3DO: It's OK (after deleting the rsr files) Can someone help me! (Or give me an other way!) Thanks

You don't have to do this. When Poser 5 sees RSRs in a library with no corresponding PNGs, it creates them automatically. Delete the PNGs you made and proceed as normal. :)

I've aways found EnglishBobs' method the easiest, quickest and most reliable method to make PNG's.

Thanks Englishbob! You explained why some png files apears after starting P5!!! I don't understand :-( When I browse my P4 runtime with P5. I have only the name of the file but nor thumbnails neither grey guy! Its like some folders are not converted! My P4 runtime is on another hard drive than P4 is it a problem? Does the size of the runtime folder matter.

Perhaps P5 cannot convert files outside of its own Runtime directory?
