Subject: Fixed Victoria Head Seam in Free Stuff

SnowSultan ( ) posted Fri, 19 January 2001 at 5:40 PM · edited Wed, 30 October 2024 at 6:10 PM

I just wanted to let everyone know that I posted a fixed version of my Victoria head seam guide because the one included in the original set had incorrect eyebrow guides. Sorry I didn't notice it before, I only found out today. :O It says on the template that the eyebrow and lip guides are just estimations, but now they should be almost exactly correct. Sorry again for any problems, I won't make the same mistake on the Michael template. ;) Take care. SnowS Hoping his pictures are worth 1001 words.

Many many thanks for your hard work!

Coming in late here-- How does the head seam guide work? i figure we match the colored bits front & back. What about the eyelashes and so forth? Is there particular significance to the red areas on the eyes (well, they're the back of the eyeballs?) and around the base of the nostrils? And my thanks for your hard work, too! What a monster this must have been! --Nan

Thank you for your comments, I'm glad someone is finding these guides of some use! I'd like to be able to make morphs and clothing to share instead, but I'm more of an editor than a creator... ;) Nan, you're right about matching the colored areas on the front and back, that's how it works. :) The eyelash guides are mainly there to be an "angle" guide for painting lash transparency maps. The red area around the eyes should cover the eyelids and the red on the base of the nostrils is like an "outline" of the nose, so you don't get obvious differences in texture where the nose meets the face. None of those are really important for basic texture making though, I just put them there for people who make special textures (like zebra or alien ones). Hope that helps, and thanks again for your nice words! Take care. SnowS
