Not to beat a dead horse or anything, but does anyone know why Sixus1 has decided to pull their Daz-figure-supporting products? Some legal reason perhaps? I'd like to give them the benefit of the doubt, 'cause I'd hate to think it was just out of petulance.

you would have to ask them specifically, I'd think. Anyone else would only be guessing.

thou and I, my friend, can, in the most flunkey world, make, each of us, one non-flunkey, one hero, if we like: that will be two heroes to begin with. (Carlyle)

I don't think it was out of petulance. DAZ gave them permission to keep distributing the figure, as long as they encoded it to V3 (which is free).

I think they just decided they wanted to pursue a different strategy. They want to make Lilin "open source." Like Linux and Firefox. They want people to be free to make modifications and add-ons, without having to RTEncode them. That means they have to start over, since DAZ (understandably) doesn't want to allow V3's shape, joints, map, etc., to be open-source.

I wasn't referring to Lilin specifically. They pulled the Lycanthro morphs as well just recently I think.

Basically it was a decision to support Sixus1 products exclusively.

We only had two products for DAZ figures...A lycanthrope set for M3 and one for V3. Simply due to the way that the DAZ EULA is written, we are not 100% comfortable supporting DAZ figures. Case closed. :) --Rebekah-- Sorry if you are disappointed that you didn't get to pick 'em up while they were available.

Gotcha. Uncomfortable from the EULA I can understand.

Sixus1 I contacted Franz Muenz about this Alien, He said I should contact you about obtaining it as a poser figure. Is it poser ready or available yet? This image came a static none posable version of the model released at scifi art. Franz Muenz also made the Alien Queen.

Remember that it is 3 downloads. And REALLY processor heavy because the poly count is so high. But it looks great...he put a lot of detail into that model. --Rebekah--

My bad....that is the battle alien. It is the Alien Queen that we converted for Poser. Haven't had time yet to do that one. Sorry. --Rebekah--

natolii, you are referring to the alien-queen, not the drone, not the same model btw!! :)

Natolii ( ) posted Sat, 26 March 2005 at 9:03 PM

Id give it a go myself but the arms being bent like this is a problem for poser conversion....

Tucan-Tiki ( ) posted Sat, 26 March 2005 at 9:50 PM

Would be better if the arms were streachewd out to sides. Like the default pose of poser figures.
