Have an illustration I'm trying to do that's close to the ground...sand for that matter. I sized the terrain to 4000x4000, I'm rendering 5000 wide at 600dpi, (yeah, I've gotta make these very large files +32meg when done.) so, even at that resolution I'm getting squares in the ground texture file that to me would be saying too low a resolution. Any suggestions to get a better ground texture? Feeling befuddled! -jay

what is the map? Procedural or image map? If bmp or jpg check: interpolation to bilinear. I mean leave none to bilinear!

Hi Phoul...its procedural...just a simple "eroded rock" with a bit of gravel and grit from the terrain editor. So interpolation would be a NA. Running Vue4Pro...yeah, still awaiting V5I shipment. -thanks -jay

Hum... may be you should open the function of the color. There is something with square "gremlining action" I suppose. My 2... oups no, only my 1 cent. :-

Thanks again Phoul...think I've figured some things out...got a long way to go before I can bend this program to my ideas...and before that happens I've got to upgrade! lol... Wish I could upgrade my old tired brain! take care! -jay
