Another thing. Does the P6 upgrade come with free Shade 7 designer LE with Poser Fusion?

The special edition of Poser 6 comes with the White Queen as exclusive content. I believe that Shade LE was only bundled if you pre-ordered.

No, Shade LE comes with all copies of the Special Edition, whether you preordered or not. Sounds like CL is running out, though, so if you want one, you'd best order soon. Once they've sold out of physical copies of the SE, it'll no longer be available and they'll only offer the standard edition afterward.

The naive question is, if they run out, why not just make more? After all, it is only a few pieces of plastic and there is still lots of petroleum left in the world.

If you offer something for pre sell and you want people to either buy the pre sell version or buy it as soon as it gets to the store, you include extra stuff as a marketing ploy. If the people buying the product believe they can get it 6 months after release with the special stuff, they are less likely to buy immediately. That is why they don't just make more. Kristta
