Interested in suggestions and comments on this technique, this image was modelled in Bryce4 and Softy3D, textured and rendered in Bryce, and given a little post rendering touch in Corel PhotoPaint7...Looks kinda like the stuff in that nice opening credit sequence in FightClub, and is reasonably easy to produce....

Very convincing. Looks like extra-terrestial head lice. How'do do it?

Thanx...I used my Scanning Electron Microscope attatched to my old 486....No, seriously....I will post a tutorial on this technique on my website when I finish building it....Soon. Plus I want to get a few more images done in this style out there before every one knows how its done...which probably won't take long even without a tutorial...

Would that website include tutorials on how to use the DTE to make tech panelling materials? I could still use that help you offered me.

I am working on the webpage as I speak ... Your recipe is on the way, it is fairly detailed and should tell tou all you need to know. I emailed some Materials for you to experiment with, but it doesnt look like you got them...Sorry for the delays!... For now try using mixes of the following noise types in the DTE... Linear sine in 1D space, techno, Fractal Stone and Square Lines set to 3D space and use the Quanterize(I think thats what its called)and SawWave filters on them...If you like I can try to email you those textures again (zip files?) let me know... Again, my apologies for the delay, but the stuff I'm preparing for you takes a bit of frigging around.... Later, adamite.

Hey no problem Adamite , I was just wondering. I'll try to experiment with the recipe you've laid out here. Late!

hi I responded to your email... but I'll tell you here too... very nicely done...I do know that this may be rendered in Bryce but its a photoeditor effect (negative) right?... looking forward to reading the tute when done... BT

The colourization and negative effect is post, but it only comes out the right way if the image is set up the a certain way in bryce...thanx 4 the reply by the way. I dont want to seem like I'm holding out but I would like to give people something to spike some intrest for my website (not for commercial purposes, though, I'm not trying to sell anything...)
