Subject: Shade - Updates?

tastiger ( ) posted Fri, 01 April 2005 at 4:07 PM · edited Mon, 02 December 2024 at 4:55 AM

As my Poser 6 is sitting 120km away awaiting Customs Clearence, can those of you who have received Shade tell me if it is just the Version 7?

Do I have to download the 130 odd meg of Updates on the CL site?

If so with my dial up connection that could fill in my frustrating waiting time

shade7LE with P6 is the newest version it is still LE (limited edition) tho you dont need to download anything more unless you buy another version

There is a Shade 7.2.1 Updater on the Curious Labs website, which includes updates to make it more compatible with P6.

See the Change List for details.

It's under Downloads | Updates & Documentation.

Just got mine. The disk has the 7.2.1 version on it. Now anyone know where the serial number is? I have Shade Standard, so I don't need LE. I would give it to someone who could use it, not much use without Serial number.

I've seen several posts in which people have said it is in one of the confirmation emails.

Thanks, never got one of those. Will have to phone CL to get it I guess. They don't seem to read emails. Mind there is no rush for me. Time to take the plunge and install P6. If you hear an ear shattering scream, you know I did something wrong. LOL.

I had to call CL's for the serial # it seems that a lot of people never got one, but they were very helpful and got it sorted out in about 30 seconds

beryld, You can get your serial number for Shade by checking your order status at this link: http://shop.digitalriver.com/dr/v2/ec_main.entry11?xid=52397&sp=10340&pn=1 You have to know either your order # and the password on your account OR your e-mail addy & the last 5 digits of the credit card you used to order. Once you log in, you'll see your order & there should be a button that says "redownload order". Click that & the next screen has your serial number beside the line for Shade. Hope that helps a bit! malia01us, Thank you, I'll try that first and if that doesn't work I'll phone CL on monday. Right now I'm having to much fun playing and getting used to a few different things in P6. I found one strange thing with changing the light color, but other than that, it all seems to work fine. What's that NASA saying, "looks like we've had our glitch for this mission."
