Here's an image I've been working on for a few days now. Any suggestions are appreciated. Plants - 3D cafe, the rest Bryce.

Thanks

very nice details! how did you do the ground with all those rocks?

This is great. Can't wait to see the final.

yes that gravel is exelent, the buildings could use a little more contrast though.

for some free stuff i made
and for almost daily fotos

I love the trackwork and ballast(rock)! Very nice industrial buildings.

Great style! I would lower the building textures' ambience though.

Love the building textures. :)

Great piece, but I think the track needs some mechanicals at the crossovers......

This is developing beautifully. I would maybe cutback on the haze a little to bring up contrast a little and the ski texture seems to need a higher resolution it seems to be a 2D plane. Track switching would do nicely as well. Your ground texture is phenomenal, something you made? Looking forward to the finished piece.

Thanks for your critique. I had thought about the switching device but wasn't sure about it. The rocks are made up of lots of small terrains. I made the grayscales for them in photoshop using a couple of the pixelate and texture filters. Thanks again.

only thing that might need touchup is to add just a hint of reflectivity on the windows (something cool would be to have the sun glinting off of one, but that would mean postwork..;) the roofs look odd to me, maybe another mat, but everything else is spot on..

Nah, you could do the sun-glinting with a well-placed ranged Spotlight. You could also mimic reflections in a off-scene 2d pict object, just angle it properly... I think that more variation in the textures on the building sides would help, but other than that it's modeled wonderfully! The ground looks really great, and the fence and plants are a nice touch.

Great Picture with plenty of detail to look at. My only observation would be that the scale of the fence seems a bit large for the adjacent tracks or the tracks seem to be too narrow in guage(width) for the closeness of the view. Otherwise nice job. Looking forward to the finished work.

A rusting old locomotive would be a nice addition, too.

I was going to defend Ang, but decided she could do a better job all by herself. :^) It's been nice knowing you, Bryster. Where would you like the pieces sent? :^D
