Subject: Shade vs. Poser...

When I first read the hoopla about Shade, I suspected that it might replace Poser, and provide a higher quality image. Yet, I'm puzzled by the dearth of images in the Shade gallery. Does anybody know what the deal is? Did Poser 6 come out and steal Shade's thunder in some way? I'm about to take some time off and delve deeper into some software package--perhaps I'll just stick with Poser 5, as I believe we tend to move onto the new generation of products before maximizing the last one...

Shade is more of a compliment to P6 Shade is a modeler and renderer, you can create content in shade which can be used in Poser they are not the same type of app

You might as well PAY attention, because you can't afford FREE speech

Shade also has true Hdri but it takes a while to learn. You could potentually use shade for: Modeling clothing props and figures for Poser Morph targets backdrops Or you can bring your poser files into shade (any version it suports 4 5 and 6) to render there. As a poser user you get a discount on shade...so even if you don't plan to go to poser 6 you can still get shade and use it with poser.
