Are they the same figure? I was looking through the market place and found a gorgeous texture for "Stephanie"

No. Stephanie and Stephanie Petite are two different figures. They can't share clothing or textures.

Stephanie 3 Petite is a different model than V3, with her own body and head morph packs. But since she's a gen 3 figure she can use V3:s textures as well.

Bit of background FYI: Stephanie was derived from the Michael 2 mesh and can therefore share textures with Mike 2 (and 1, for that matter). Additionally, she can wear Victoria 1 and 2 clothes, although V1/2 textures are not compatible. FWIW, I really like the original Stephanie; I hated the mesh at first but since then I have found it to be a very useful model. Caveat - she's as lumpy as a big bag of very lumpy things and bends like a bag of glass. Stephanie 3 (S3P or Stephanie Petite) is, as stated above, a different mesh, derived from V3. As a unimesh model, it can share textures with V3, M3, David, Freak, Aiko and She - Freak, but not exactly. There are slight mismatches which means that a texture from another Unimesh (DAZ's name for the Generation 3 models) won't be entirely correct, but they will be pretty damn close for most purposes. Anyhow, no they ain't the same model but I like 'em both.

Guess I have to pass on that scrumptious looking texture that I saw. Oh well.

I'm rather fond of Stephanie1 and using characters and clothing created by Dave71 and others she can be quite lovely so don't give up on getting that texture yet. The link is to one of my images using her.

IF you want to see how far you can push Stephanie 1, I recommend you download Migal's Stephanie expansion kit here: http://www.netherworks-studios.com/nws-smax.htm It's free and it works extremelly well.
