Subject: Crop question...again, new image.

Oh my...I crop then recrop then do a thumb and like that for a moment more than the original... Got an opinion on cropping this image or leave as is? Thanks, TomDart. cropping is my bugaboo it seems...

I'd leave it as it is. But do not be afraid to experiment.

Here is exif, forgot to include: Sun was blinking in and out as he got behind an iris leaf. 1/800, f5.6,ISO approx 250,187mm(35mm eqivalent) Tom.

Thanks folks. I posted it on my gallery with the original crop. Now, seeing the tight crop from dBgrafix, that might be how I print it. : ) I suppose each has its own character. have a good day. Tom.

either... sweet shot tom! :] i do like doug's but maybe with the full shadow showing of that plant, so it's not quite so tight... soooooooo behind in the gallery :(

hmmmm, hard to decide. i really like it the way it is. i like some empty space. if i cropped it, i would crop just a little on the left side. but you already decided. i like doug's too, but it feels a little tight to me to me on the right. i'm just in one of those moods i guess. i keep looking at both. i do like both. i can't decide, Tom. You're right. each has its own character. i love the shamrock in the background!!! :)

As a gift for a friend I have taken her cat and cropped it all up. I'm making parts of it into 3 photos for a frame with 3 slots. One is just her eyes, one is her nose and whiskers and one is the bottom of her paw in macro. Each section looks pretty cool by itself. I do like what Doug did to your already great photo because it cleaned up the background.

Hi Thomas, the crop you used in your posting is perfect but since you're asking... i might have cropped it differently. Something like this i think. Oh btw., i also adjusted the saturation and contrast a bit. Hope you dont mind. :o) Have a great week !! :o)

mood swings in viewing..that is part of it and knowing this cat personally might affect my thoughts on it..it has to look like he looks!(at least for the one going on my wall). For me, sometimes is it more of this less of that and so on.. The added saturation is a nice touch, balanced with just enough contrast. Oh my..
