hmmmm, hard to decide. i really like it the way it is. i like some empty space. if i cropped it, i would crop just a little on the left side. but you already decided. i like doug's too, but it feels a little tight to me to me on the right. i'm just in one of those moods i guess. i keep looking at both. i do like both. i can't decide, Tom. You're right. each has its own character. i love the shamrock in the background!!! :)
As a gift for a friend I have taken her cat and cropped it all up. I'm making parts of it into 3 photos for a frame with 3 slots. One is just her eyes, one is her nose and whiskers and one is the bottom of her paw in macro. Each section looks pretty cool by itself. I do like what Doug did to your already great photo because it cleaned up the background.
mood swings in viewing..that is part of it and knowing this cat personally might affect my thoughts on it..it has to look like he looks!(at least for the one going on my wall). For me, sometimes is it more of this less of that and so on.. The added saturation is a nice touch, balanced with just enough contrast. Oh my..
