The one that works best pour moi is: write.
Write anything.
Don't think about it.
Brooding constipates the fingers.
Just start putting words on paper, regardless of what you think they are doing there.
Even if you write gibberish, the story will emerge.
I promise.
p.s. I have coined a phrase for a group of writers, along the lines of:
A gaggle of geese.
A pride of lions.
A murder of crows.
Ta Da!
A worry of writers.
