Subject: Looking for Religious Clothing

smschafer ( ) posted Mon, 18 April 2005 at 4:25 PM · edited Thu, 07 November 2024 at 10:55 AM

Nun's habit, priest collar, monk robe, etc.

I've previewed the stores at the usual places, but found very little. In desperation I've even tried sites like Poserotica, thinking the fetishists would have something...but no.

Any help appreciated, even if just textures to convert other items to what I'm looking for.

Thanks!

-Steve

ps. V3/M3 preferred. Thanks.

I am actually starting a personal project which incorporates those clothes too, and yes, I found no religious clothing. I will be happy to share with you my clothes when they are done. They are most probably going to be dynamic.

"Nun's habit"
Try Morphing Dreadful Habit for V3 in the MarketPlace (see also the full set with the Penny texture)

"monk robe"
Try Swordbearer at PoserFashion.

i'm working on some myself. i've found approximately eleventeen zillion strap-on dildos, lacy bras, and those red balls you stuff into the mouth of people while you pork them (ala Pulp Fiction) but looking for an altar boy? A priest? Good luck! I'll show you the meshes when i'm done.

Wow! You found aproximately three more strap-on dildos then I did :(

ROFLMAO!! I've often wondered ... would there be a lot of interest in this type of stuff? Including clothing that would be typical of the key personages of different religions? (Moses, Jesus, Abraham, Mary, Magdalene, and gods/goddesses of other religions?) The reason I ask is that I know these types of images are important to a lot of people, and I have seen requests for them. I've considered making some but I wasn't sure if there would be a lot of interest. If there is, and if I get a lot of IM's, I've been thinking of adding some to my list of things to do. 8-)

any kind of well-made robing would sell well - there's so little of it out there. Just make sure that any piece of religion-specific trimming/collaring/hooding etc can either be morphed or hidden so your sales aren't limited. cheers

It's a clothing type that would be ideal for dynamic clothing and challenging, but doable, for conforming clothing. THat is one of the reasons it's been on the back burner. But if there is enough interest I might tackle it. 8-)

Someone was just looking for a habit. Search for "Nun" here. Requests pop up periodically. I think Gerylight may have a priest but it's definitely Poser 3/4 figure based. "...those red balls you stuff into the mouth of people while you pork them..." LOL Ballgags? as opposed to bitgags, ring-gags. dildo gags, etc. The Puritans had their own version, used on nagging women. http://www.getchwood.com/punishments/curious/chapter-8.html http://www.museumoflondon.org.uk/MOLsite/piclib/pages/bigpicture.asp?id=1320 At any rate, images with gags are probably safer than ones with altar boys these days :-)

Deecey, I know I would be interested! And not only clothes but accessories too. If you take Jesus time: needs that kind of cane the shepherds used (don't know the word), a lamb (even if it doesn't move too much as long as we can pose it on the back of a man for the sacrifices), a stable for Nativity scenes and that thing that served as His bed, the cross, a calvary scene, and so on. And I'm sure it would be the same for other religions. France

There is one outfit that I know of - the Swordbearer for Mike by Serge Marck. A set of dynamic clothes. Can be found at www.poserfashion.net.

Check at DAZ..their Freebies section has some priest's accessories..a big hand crucifix and suchlike. Also I'm sure PoserWorld has some medieval style nuns habit..and maybe a Friar as well ? Its V2 or M2 though, I think

DCArt ( ) posted Tue, 19 April 2005 at 10:14 AM

At one time DAZ did have a priest freebie for one of the Michaels (Michael 2, I think). I wonder if it might be in the Free Stuff archive?

"At any rate, images with gags are probably safer than ones with altar boys these days :-) " Yea, and images of alter boys with ball gags will really get you in trouble.

True. I doubt that Ken Russell's The Devils would play too well these days either. Ironic, considering how the old 17th century witch-hunt seems to be regaining popularity.
