"I was wondering if it might be possible to include a summary of what each program is designed and specifically suited for beneath the headings on the forum front page."Rather than do that, why not visit the web site of the specific software publisher? You'll learn far more of its capabilities there than you will here reading a few lines of text. You'll find a link to each vendor on the home page of each forum.
You were probably admiring Vue. See link.

Hi guys. I was wondering if it might be possible to include a summary of what each program is designed and specifically suited for beneath the headings on the forum front page. I have been a member of renderosity for nearly two years but only just recently finally got my first copy of poser. Until now I have only been able to look and admire other peoples work. I am soon to look at getting my hands on another program but want it to be the right one. I saw an image in Renderosity over a year ago of a very lush pond/forest/glade scene with very cool lighting effects I can't remember any of the details of it but I just loved it. From that moment on I wanted to be able to create very lush, textured forest scenes. I was looking at Terragen but realised through observation that it seems best suited for treeless mountain lake sceens. Can someone please advise me what program I should start looking into for this lush textured finish I have spoken of ?For best results should two programs be used together ? What two ? I guess while I am here I would also ask if anyone knew of any beginner tutorials for Poser. I am aware they abound and have followed at least most of the links from this site as well as others from external sources. The thing is, they all seem to cover specific applications, I dont even know how to use the program as it stands before me, is there an instruction tutorial simply for the actual use of the program because IV not been able to find one. Sorry if this was a bit hard to follow, I know what I want to say but am having trouble saying it, lol. Thanks a bunch
