Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 26 1:43 pm)
You have the head and body morph packs from DAZ, right? As long as they are all installed correctly, they should kick in when you click on the appropriate MOR or INJ pose in the character's Pose folder. For example, my own character, Luna Gothica, has a MAT-INJ pose combined, which will morph the character and load the appropriate textures. If the morph packs aren't present, or they're in the wrong folder, subdirectory or runtime, the INJ won't have any effect, or it may give an error message.

Thwnk you for the swif reply. Yes I got the morphs from DAZ, but now I see it's only a body's morph, apparently head morphs come separatly. I would guess I can load the body's morph without the head, or???? I just instaled the morph packet as it came through the download, if the files are somewhere they are not supposed to be, I wonder where? Are these INJ files OBJ files??? Thanks again... Paulo A.
Erm, the short answer is, I'm not sure if the INJ poses you're trying to use will work without the full packs installed. Assuming you let the installer do its thing and assuming you're using P4 or Propack, or P5/P6 with a single Runtime, they should be in the right place. INJ files aren't OBJ files, so you can't load them the way you would load a morph target; they have to be used through an INJ Pose. OBJs generally come in 2 flavours - the ones which sit in your Geometry folder as the basic model for the figure you're using, or the ones used as custom morph targets.

The inj/Rem morph packs Daz sells installs all the morph data into reserve folder that these character packs are referencing. In the same way the Daz morph packs are referencing the morph data they installed, these character packs are referencing those same files that come with the Daz INJ/REM morph Packs. TYou likely need all of the Daz morph packs. Most character product pages will tell you what packs from Daz are required for their character INJ to work.

You need V3 base, V3 body morph, and V3 head morph to use Character addon's, because sometimes a character addon has an INJ full body which includes the head too.
If you have a character addon file and it has INJ body and INJ head...separate from each other, you can use the INJ body to change the shape of the body and apply the MAT texture to the whole figure. However, V3's face will still be the default V3 face. Without the V3 head morph pack, I don't think you can even change the way her face looks with parameter dials.

I think I see now where the problem might be, my character addon has the body AND head INJ files in one single folder and I've only got the V3s body morphs package. Like it has been suggested from SamTherapy, it probably wont work without the full packs installed. I hope this is the problem. Anyway thanks a million for your advice and help. I hope I'll be able top share with my renders with your help. Paulotin.
In the morph pack are three types of files all ending with pz2. 1) Something with "inj" within the name. These files injects the respective morph into your figure. 2) Something with "rem" within the name. These files are for removing morphs from your figure. 3) The morph files itself, there are no *.rsr asociated with the *.pz2 and for the files 1 to work must be located in the specified folder of the pack (something like "!Daz...") There is another way to apply the morphs, just put the wanted morphs in any pose folder and apply them as normal poses. (not the inj/rem files, the other ones *.pz2 without any *.rsr.
Stupidity also evolves!
If you have only the body morphs, in the case of a character that has separate head and body inj poses, you can use the body one but not the head one. And you can't use "full" inj poses because they require both morph packs.

From what I've gathered so far, I don't seem to be the only one to've gone on a wild goose chase in the labirintine world of poser. I can't make heads or tails of the whole morph injecting business and it's driving me crazy.
It took me a while to understand that I had to buy seaparate head and morph targets so that I could make the bodies of those beauties I bought to look the same as they are to look like. But still, even after reading all kinds of manuals and other tutorials I can't figure out how to inject those morph targets into the figures. Going..." - Object-Load morph Target- doesn't help, it asks me for a OBJ file that doesns't seem to exist anywhere and later it lets me know that it's the wrong kind of file and I have to terminate poser just to get out of the freeze.
Loading the mats for the figures causes no problems it's only when I try to load those INJs that things never work. I've got V3 base, Tawni renewal character and have also just installed v3 body morph. My questios is, simply, how do I go about having those bodies and faces look the same as the character kits they come with, or how do I change their morphs in a step by step procedure??? Would love some clarity into this, thank you.
