After much inspiration and advice from the friendly folk on RenderGods, I've managed to produce a boiling liquid. A series of negative spheres booleaned with the positive liquid, took a few hours to render overnight. The file is 528kB, so it may take a while to load.

That's great, but doesn't boiling water create mounds on the surface as the air bubble rises and breaks?

it's like a fizzy drink..looks cold. i agree with Zhann... you need the mounds ontop... that differenciates boiling from a fizzy drink..(both have bubbles splattering in the air, btw)

Now I'm going to have to go watch some boiling/fizzing. It'll be a challenge to work out how to do that well.

Yeah, that would be difficult. Looks great right now though. I've notice that the bubbles are a little overpatterned? Maybe it's just my computer and net connection (messes up sometimes).

Aye, it's a cool animation! But it looks more like bubbles rising in cold than boiling. Also, the sruface of the liquid doesn't roil, as it would in real life... A difficult task, though! I applaud your patience and work. (another thing, the Green bubbles that emerge kinda kill the realism?)

Can't see any animation. Not with Firefox or IE... (sniffle)

Pretty cool man!

A whiner is about as useful as a one-legged man at an arse kicking contest.
